> How does the Test Centre « Centre d’essai » function? Is a security guarantee needed?
To test a bike, you must go to the registration area on site at Vélo Vert Festival. We will ask you for a security guarantee of €4000 (pre-authorisation of bank card) as well as 2 proofs of identity (passport, ID card, driving license). A photo will be taken of you and we will give you a race plate and wristband. You can then go to your chosen brand with the plate and wristband. The brand will check and register you via an I-Pod.
> Can I test bikes during races?
No, test bikes can only be used on the test loops. Brands are free to let you take bikes out alone or take you on accompanied rides.
> Should I bring my own bike?
All depends on what I wish to do at the festival. A bike test cannot last more than 60 minutes, I need to use my own bike to ride on all organised races and rides, GPS test loops and to get about between the Show area and entertainment in the village. All other routes are open to test bikes.
> I’m a cross country rider but I wish to test Enduro and DH bikes. I don’t have a full face helmet or body armour, can I be loaned this on site?
No, I should bring my own equipment (full face helmet + body armour), borrow from friends, or hire at one of the shops in Villard de Lans.

Yes, my own pedals (flat or spds) are needed to test bikes.
> If I take a 1 day Pass Festival can the test day be different from the day I participate in a race?
Yes, my test day starts when I do my first test at one of the stands. I can, therefore, do an organised ride on saturday and test bikes and accessories on sunday, all with a 1 day Pass Festival.
> Where is the registration area?
It will be at Balcon Côte 2000, at the lift station next to the Show area.
> Where are the entertainments?
Some are in the Show area (Balcon Côte 2000) and some are in Villard de Lans village at different amenities (watersports centre, ice rink…).
> Where is the Show area and test loops?
They will be a little higher than the village at the resort – Balcon Villard de Lans, next to the lift station, Télécabine de Côte 2000.
> Where is the departure point for Races & Rides?
The Rando All-Mountain, Enduro, Mythic, Chrono All-Mountain, Massive Enduro & Electric Race start from the Show area.
The Night Ride, Family Challenge, Kids Race, Street Race, Randos Découverte, Color & Family start from the village centre at the Place de l’Ours.
> How can I get between the Show area and entertainment in the Village?
Regular free buses take festival goers from one site to another (Show / Village Entertainment). There are also suggested routes for walkers and cyclists, the intention being to reduce as much as possible usage of motorised transport during the weekend! You can, however, circulate in vehicles, but we cannot ensure you’ll find a parking space! We are expecting a huge number of festival goers in attendance and parking spaces risk being very sought after in the village centre.
